Fill half your plate with fruits and vegetables before you serve yourself anything else. Mix up the fruits and vegetables to get some of every color each day. Produce fills you up while adding very few additional calories to a meal. Bulking up your meals with veggies and fruit means you'll eat more food while losing weight, a goal for any dieter.

Drink one 8-ounce glass of water before every meal. Water will fill you up and you'll eat less food. Studies have found that dieters who drink more water lose weight at a faster rate.

Don't deny yourself desserts and treats. Moderation is key to any diet plan and is helpful to avoid binge eating or feeling deprived.
